Apple Worm Level 18 Walkthrough

Apple Worm Level 18 is a positioning puzzle where timing matters more than speed. You climb through the gap between two dirt blocks, take a natural drop to the lower dirt block, then trigger a stone drop while using the apple pickup to keep your body in the right place. The biggest “gotcha” is Step 4: if the upper stone falls too early, the later stack won’t form cleanly. Once the stones stack, you climb out of the dirt pit and finish with a tail-hook at the dirt edge.

    Quick Navigation (Video ↔ Steps)

For Apple Worm Level 18, treat Step 4 as your “must-match” checkpoint: you need the first stone to drop, you need to eat the apple, and you need to keep the upper stone from dropping at the same time. If the upper stone falls here, the stack in Step 6 usually won’t line up.

When you watch the video, pause at Step 2 (after the natural drop), Step 4 (apple eaten and upper stone still held), Step 6 (stones stacked), and Step 8 (tail-hook at the dirt edge). If your screen looks different at any checkpoint, go back one step and rebuild the position before continuing.

    Step-by-Step Guide

Follow the quick steps for the route, then use the key frames to confirm the natural drop landing, the apple-block timing, the stack shape, and the tail-hook finish.

    Quick Steps

    1. Move right into the gap between the two dirt blocks, then move up.
    2. Move up to the end and let the worm naturally drop onto the lower dirt block.
    3. Move right until you are on the right side of the stone block.
    4. Push the stone block left one step so it drops, then keep moving left to eat the apple while blocking the upper stone from dropping.
    5. Move to the left side of the upper stone block.
    6. Push the stone block right one step so it drops and stacks onto the lower stone.
    7. Move right one step, then climb up using the stacked stones to get out of the dirt pit.
    8. After you’re out, move right to the dirt edge, move down, hook the edge with your tail, then move left to finish.

Level 18 Gameplan (Gap Climb → Natural Drop → Apple Stop → Stack → Tail Hook)

This Apple Worm Level 18 walkthrough is a sequence of small, deliberate positions. The first half (Steps 1–3) is not about stones at all—it’s about entering the gap between the dirt blocks, climbing up, and letting the worm naturally fall onto the lower dirt block without sliding sideways. That clean landing is what makes the next pushes predictable.

Step 4 is the heart of the level: you push the stone left one step so it drops, then you keep moving left to eat the apple while your body blocks the upper stone from falling. Think of the apple as a timing anchor: if you hesitate or leave space under the upper stone, it drops early and the later stack won’t form the way the key frames show.

After the apple, Step 5 puts you on the correct pushing side (left of the upper stone). Step 6 is a single, controlled push to the right that makes the upper stone drop and stack onto the lower stone. That stacked shape becomes your ladder in Step 7 to climb out of the dirt pit. The finish in Step 8 is a movement trick: move to the dirt edge, drop down, then use your tail to hook the edge so you can slide left into the exit path.

The Critical Move in Level 18 (Step 4)

Step 4 is the critical checkpoint: “Push the stone left one step so it drops, then eat the apple while blocking the upper stone from falling.” If the upper stone falls during Step 4, stop and rebuild from Step 3. Getting this timing right makes Step 6 (the stack) almost automatic.

    Why the Order Works

    • Step 1 centers you in the gap so the climb stays aligned.
    • Step 2 uses a natural drop to place you on the lower dirt block with the right approach angle.
    • Step 3 puts you on the correct side of the stone to trigger a clean drop.
    • Step 4 combines the first drop, the apple pickup, and the “body block” that prevents the upper stone from dropping early.
    • Step 5 sets your pushing side for a clean one-step stack.
    • Step 6 forms the stacked stones you need to climb out.
    • Step 7 uses the stack as a ladder to escape the dirt pit.
    • Step 8 uses a tail-hook at the dirt edge to move left into the finish.

Common Level 18 Mistakes (and Fast Fixes)

    • I can’t get into the gap (Step 1): move right until you’re clearly between the two dirt blocks, then start moving up.
    • My natural drop lands wrong (Step 2): go straight up to the end, then let the drop happen without extra left/right taps.
    • The upper stone drops in Step 4: after the first stone drops, keep moving left to eat the apple and stay under the upper stone as a blocker.
    • The stack in Step 6 is offset: return to the Step 5 key frame (left of the upper stone) and redo the one-step push to the right.
    • I can’t climb out (Step 7): don’t improvise—re-check the Step 6 stack frame before climbing.
    • The tail-hook won’t catch (Step 8): move all the way to the dirt edge, drop down, then move left only after your tail is anchored on the edge.

    Reset Checkpoints (Save Time)

    • After Step 2: if the landing is wrong, redo the climb + natural drop before touching any stones.
    • After Step 4: if the upper stone fell, reset to Step 3 and replay the drop + apple + block timing.
    • After Step 6: treat the stack as your last “shape” checkpoint; fix it before attempting Steps 7–8.

    Troubleshooting (Stuck?)

    • Step 1 feels inconsistent: make sure you are inside the gap between the dirt blocks before moving up.
    • Step 2 keeps placing me wrong: go up to the end, then let the natural drop happen without extra lateral moves.
    • Step 4 ruins the run: the upper stone must stay held while you eat the apple; if it falls, go back to Step 3 and redo the timing.
    • I can’t reach the left side in Step 5: rebuild Step 4 so the upper stone is still held, then reposition to the left side of it.
    • Step 6 doesn’t stack: from the Step 5 frame, push right exactly one step and let the drop complete.
    • Step 8 tail-hook doesn’t work: move to the dirt edge, drop down, pause until your tail is hooked on the edge, then move left.
